Smith vs Teixeira ufc fight night on May 13

the UFC will return to competition with a light heavyweight headliner featuring two title contenders. No. 3 Anthony Smith (31-14-0) will take on No. 9 Brazilian Glover Teixeira (30-7-0) in a contest that was supposed to happen at the cancelled UFC on ESPN+ 25 on April 25. “Lionheart,”31, looked lacklustre in a decision loss to champion Jon Jones at UFC 235, yet pulled off an impressive submission win over Alexander Gustafsson at UFC on ESPN+ 11 last June.

Teixeira, 40, continues to be the renaissance man. He has a three-fight win streak over some good opponents like Nikita Krylov and Ion Cutelaba. Smith is another younger and technical challenge, but Glover always has legendary trainer John Hackleman and The Pit in his corner.

The UFC May 13 event is scheduled for May 13 at the Vystar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida. Current bouts include:

ANTHONY SMITH (31-14-0) VS. GLOVER TEIXEIRA (30-7-0)
